Our Friends and Families have contributed to our mission for over 40 years. We invite you to continue supporting our cause.
CURE Childhood Cancer Association has been walking alongside families coping with childhood cancer for over 40 years. During this time, our programs and services have evolved, and our support has increased to include families who have a child with cancer or a chronic blood disorder. As a past donor, we ask you once again to contribute to CURE, helping us to maintain the critical support we provide through the generosity of others.
When parents hear the words, “Your child has cancer,” or “Your child has a blood disorder,” their world halts. CURE is one of the first agencies to meet with families following a diagnosis. Unique to our organization are our Parent Advocates who are in the hospital, ready and waiting to help families on their journeys, offering support however they can.
What is unique about our Parent Advocates? They are the parents of long-term childhood cancer survivors, and have heard those daunting words about their own child. They have faced the onslaught of acronyms, medical terminology, complicated medication names and extensive side effects. They know first-hand about the need to be flexible should a child’s status change in the blink of an eye, and the bills that don’t stop coming. Our services are provided even if one or both parents take a leave of absence from work to care for their child.
With your support and the support of our community, we can continue to offer these essential services to families in need, and assist the Parent Advocates in their roles at Golisano Children’s Hospital. Please help CURE continue to let families know they are not alone in their battles. CURE is there for them, with them, to help them through.
Your contribution makes a difference.
Warmest Regards,
Holly Dutcher
